Day 5 At Sea
This morning I slept it, I have not been getting much sleep. Sleep aids do NOT help me fall asleep. June left for coffee and when she got back I took a long shower and shampooed my hair. It was great after the cold shower yesterday. I caught up on my blog and tried to download some photos. Not so easy. The internet works but not so much with downloading photos.
We had lunch in the Bordeaux Dining Room, then browsed a few shops before heading to the Provence Dining Room where games and cards are played. I've narrowed down the time to 1:30p to 3:00p because only a few people have really shown interest to play. They can certainly contact me as well. I won't be calling them again. I think people, including me, thought there would be more "down time" with nothing to do. We couldn't possibly do all the scheduled events. The Hula lessons and Ukulele lessons will be ending now as we arrive in Hawaii tomorrow. Shuffleboard, Ping Pong, Trivia, Zumba, Arts & Crafts, Knits & Stitches, Quizzes, Bridge Lessons, Dance Classes of all sorts, are all free to participate in sponsored by Princess. There are other events like Bingo, Poker, etc. that cost something and the casino of course. Then there are several shopping venues that have at least one special event each day in each shop. There are several events sponsored by those on Cruise Critic. Games, cards, wine club, book club, etc. I've passed on the book club, I haven't even cracked a book open! Anyway, those who have thought a cruise this long might be boring, OH NO it is not!!!
Dinner was delicious. I'm not sure I wrote about our change in dining. Just disregard if I did. We had a reservation for every night at 6:00p at a table for 8. The first night we waited 45 minutes and finally sat at a table for 2. The second evening was a similar experience. The third night staff came to the line and asked who would be willing to change until 7:00p. IF we did this we would walk right in at that hour and sit at the same table every night. We said yes, knowing that we still had the 6:00p hour reserved. It worked out. We are at a table for 6. We were just 3 last night but we are happy for anyone who wants to sit with us. So it was Judy last night and she had other singles she was going to ask to join us. We had ____ tonight. We are happy for anyone who wants to sit with us. We have had some nice conversations.
The show tonight was Vocalist Lou Gazzara. He was really magnificent. ____
